A planning board organised by time and size.
Gapboard was built by one person, with ADHD, for their own week — and is now open to anyone whose week works the same way. It is free to use, with a paid plan, Plus, for more projects and habits, notifications and integrations.
Each day on the board is drawn with the time it actually has free — after deep work, lunch and meetings — and cards are sized by how long they take, so a day fills up the way a real day does. Things that don't fit are never hidden; they wait on the radar until there's room.
What it does
- Plan the week — six columns with the real free time in each, and cards that spill when a day is over.
- Just today — one thing to do now, what's next, and a gap picker for when a meeting ends early.
- Quarterly quests — the few numbers a quarter should change, with progress measured from where you started.
- Habits — streaks that count weeks you hit a target, never days in a row.
- Integrations — a connected service, such as YouTube, can feed one of its numbers straight into a quest.
Where it lives
The app runs on Cloudflare, in the browser and as an iPhone app. Signing in is by email: a code is sent to your address and typed back, with no password to leak. Each person's board is stored on its own, and nobody else using Gapboard can see it. Everything it stores is described on the privacy page; the terms are here.
